COVENANT GROUP MINISTRY
GROW YOUR SOUL & MAKE NEW FRIENDS

Our covenant group ministry strives to provide opportunities for
participants to grow spiritually and to deepen friendships with others.
Participants gather twice a month to discuss a topic, relating it
directly to their lives under the empathetic guidance of a trained facilitator.

We view this ministry as an essential tool for assisting spiritual seekers
In their quest for meaning, direction, understanding, and support.
Hence, it helps persons to assimilate within our congregation.
It also represents a non-threatening way to introduce visitors
to our pluralistic, religious viewpoint.

Currently, a morning and an evening covenant group meet on
The second and fourth Thursdays of the month. Both meet
In the Parish House. The morning session meets at 9:30 a.m.
The evening group meets at 6:00 p.m.

Please read the comments of a few participants in our exciting covenant group ministry:

As a 72 year old male our covenant group provides me the opportunity to develop a deep and close connection to people of both sexes and a variety of ages and backgrounds while at the same time growing spiritually in ways that would be highly unlikely otherwise.
-George Plumb

When I'm racing around with my normal busy day-to-day routine, the CG gives me time to pause and reflect on the important issues of life. The close bonds that have been formed and nurtured with the members have been an added joy. I wouldn't miss a meeting!
-Phylllis Wallace

I am a newcomer to the covenant group. Almost instantly I felt a connection with the other, longer-term, members. I enjoy Rich's skillful facilitation. His expertise guides the group through the topic of the day (for example grace, blessings, friendship). It is a safe space where we each feel listened to and cared about. I am very happy that I have joined.
-Maureen Morton

The Covenant Group offers me the opportunity to delve into issues which challenge my thinking and help me to have new insights about myself and others. I also appreciate the chance to deepen my relationships with others in the group and to learn from the differing points of view of others.
-Dottie Herrin

I have been a member of the Covenant Group for a year and it is a communion I don't want to miss. Those of us who are members have become fast friends and confessors talking about issues in our lives which affect our daily living. This group is an important adjunct to my daily existence.
